I Got A Calling!!

Finally, after 2 1/2 months in our new ward, I got a calling. I know that doesn't seem like that long to wait, but it was for me. I am now the Valiant 8-9 Boys teacher in the Primary. My first lesson will be on Sunday and I am so excited!! The boys in my class are so cute! Daniel said last week (my first day in primary) I was "vomiting happiness" and that I need to tone it down a bit, but I don't care. I am so excited to finally have a calling!!!!

Has it REALLY been a year already???

WOW!!! This year has gone by fast... and slow at the same time! Marriage is definitely awesome though. I highly recommend it!

Anyway, I guess I will reflect on some of the things we have done this year... lets see. We did lots of Civil War Reenacting, some disc golf, lots of dates :-), moved to Farmington, changed wards, we have gone through like 3 different callings (I am still calling-less in my new ward), we have had exciting news that we were going to have a baby... and then some not so happy news that I had a miscarriage.....

And NOW, for our 1 year anniversary, WE ARE GOING ON A CRUISE!! We leave on MONDAY!!! I am writing this a little early, but after Friday I wont have access to the Internet for about 10 days.

The Delete Button Is My Friend

So, I have written like 4 posts in the past 2 weeks and have deleted them all. I can't come up with anything to say that means anything. Everything seems so trivial... So, someone give me a topic to talk about. Anyone??? We can make it a game if you want...

I wish I had a pensive like Professor Dumbledore sometimes so I could just take things out of my brain that I don't want to think about and put them into a storage container (stone basin in Dumbledore's case).

P.S. I really don't like Best Buy right now. Grrr!

We Moved!

We moved to Farmington! I am so happy with our new place! It has 2 bedrooms and tons of closet storage!! We have almost found a place for everything and it is so nice to have an extra bedroom to store the big stuff in! Our neighbors are really nice! Our ward is nice and quiet! We have a dishwasher!! AND.... we bought our first washer and dryer this weekend!!! NO MORE COIN-OP LAUNDRY!!!! I am so happy!! Now all we need to do is clean our old apartment and we will be done with it for good!

Re-evaluation of my New Year's Resolutions

So, it's been just over a month since the new year started and I have only kept 2 of my MANY New Year's Resolutions (see previous post). The only 2 I have kept is to take more pictures in 2010 and to ONLY drink caffeine on Fridays. I decided that I need to set some more goals, or retry some of my resolutions. The 90 Day Challenge (see previous post) will help me to keep one of my goals, and I also REALLY want to find a way to keep my house cleaner. Any suggestions??? Because that one is a killer. My friend Melanie posted on her blog that she stresses more about cleaning that she actually cleans. I realized that I am the exact same way! I need to figure out a way to get motivated and STAY motivated!!! Really though, does anyone have any suggestions to help me keep my goals??? Let me know!

The 90 Day Challenge

Last night as I was laying in bed trying to go to sleep I came up with what I call "The 90 Day Challenge." It's pretty simple. I am going to read the Book of Mormon in 90 days. My deadline is May 8th. I just decided that I could use a big spiritual boost right now and I couldn't think of a better way. And, it actually sounds like a reasonable challenge too; only 6 pages per day. Anyone want to join me???
